simpleshow foundation now provides Volunteering Opportunities around the Agenda 2030
simpleshow foundation joins forces with the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) through its Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development. Together we want to encourage volunteers to explain the Agenda 2030 along with its 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), by creating simple and entertaining explainer videos.
To do so, we launched the “simpleshow foundation Volunteer Initiative”. Now, volunteer writers can sign up, choose one of the offered topics or suggest one on their own, and create explainer videos with mysimpleshow, an easy-to-use online video creator. Want to know more about it in less than two minutes? Of course we created an explainer video to explain our Volunteer Initiative! Take a look at it here:
So what is all this about? At the United Nations, countries from all over the world agreed on a 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Heads of State and Government pledged to commit to global Sustainable Development Goals to be implemented by 2030 in order to make the world more just, more equal, safer and less polluted. There are 17 Global Goals that are set to be achieved in order to fulfill this agenda. These efforts will shape your world today and tomorrow and help create a world without poverty, without hunger and without war.
Participation is an essential element of the Agenda 2030 – everyone who has something to contribute must be heard and can participate – including you! How that? We provide you with an opportunity to volunteer.
This is how it works: Together with you, we will take a closer look at the 2030 Agenda and each of the goals through short videos to explain the challenges and possible solutions. Through our website everybody can register for the Volunteer Initiative. You will commit your time to researching individual topics related to the Agenda 2030 and creating explainer videos directed at a broad audience.
Our first focus topic is Goal Nr. 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Find out more about our the scope of topics related to this goal here.
With the help of our easy to understand tool mysimpleshow, you can quickly and easily create explainer videos that everyone can understand. Not only will you be able to contribute to the global volunteer community, you can also receive a volunteer hours certificate and have a chance to be featured on our YouTube account and main website. With our broad and growing community we will be able to quickly explain everything one needs to know about the 2030 Agenda and its goals to save the world.
By volunteering with us you contribute directly to the United Nations’ efforts to address the biggest challenges of this planet.
